VDSL Switch

VDSL Switch

The debate about which is better, DSL or cable, is on the verge of becoming extinct. VDSL, or very high bit-rate DSL, achieves speeds that far outstrip that of the two most popular currently-available broadband options. VDSL options exist now to help your business get ahead.

VDSL operates via the same copper wiring that does ADSL (the type of DSL that is presently used). The speeds that VDSL achieves, however, are so far in excess that the change is similar to moving from a 56K modem to a broadband connection. An ADSL connection operates at a maximum speed of eight Mbps, although many users connect at speeds well below this. VDSL, however, has download speeds up to 52 Mbps–nearly six times as fast. VDSL, like ADSL, allows for regular telephone use while keeping an internet connection open. VDSL, however, allows, for instance, streaming HDTV to your computer, which the existing broadband choices do not.

VDSL Switches Keep Your Office Wired

Using a VDSL switch in a central location can allow you to provide multiple full-service links to scattered local sites using the existing copper wiring. What this means is that you can extend your networking capacity without breaking your budget. Because you’ll be using DSL technology, you can utilize the existing wiring and still have both POTS (plain old telephone service) and internet access.

We can give your business the solutions it needs to upgrade or enhance your broadband capabilities. Our products can be used separately or in tandem to supply your business the most robust networking options available.
